Terms and Conditions
By purchasing your tickets via any means for an event, show or performance at The Od Savoy – Home of The Deco Theatre you are agreeing to these terms and conditions of sale.
Your contract for the purchase of tickets is formed with the account holder / payee and as soon as we have processed your payment. The contract expires immediately after the performance of the event for which you have purchased tickets.
ON ARRIVAL
All tickets will be checked upon arrival, the venue will be open 45 minutes prior to the performance start time.
Bag sizes are restricted (please see section 18 below) the management reserves the right to search all bags being brought into the venue.
TICKETS
All Tickets are sold subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully prior to purchase, any queries relating to them should be raised before your purchase. The purchase of tickets constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. A valid ticket must be shown to attend an event at The Old Savoy – Home of The Deco Theatre.
It is your responsibility to check your tickets, ensure these are checked on receipt carefully and contact us immediately if there is a mistake. Please note you have made a mistake it cannot always be rectified after purchase.
If you have opted for printed tickets rather than e-tickets we will not be held responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen, destroyed or lost in the post. It is not always possible to issue duplicate tickets. However, duplicates may be issued at the discretion of the venue. If duplicates are being issued, a reasonable administration fee may be charged.
We reserve the right to provide alternative seats at an event to those specified on the ticket provided they are of no less value to that stated on the ticket.
Any access requirements MUST be made known to Box Office staff on booking – if you have booked online please call the box office on 01604 491005. If we are not aware of specific requirements we may not be able to seat you at the performance.
Tickets are exempt from statutory cancellation rights. This means that you are not entitled to refund if you need to cancel your tickets after purchase.
TICKET CONCESSIONS & DAS
Where a concession is claimed, proof of identity and concession entitlement WILL be required. Failure to produce reasonable proof of entitlement to a concession/discount may invalidate the ticket and result in refusal of admittance or ejection from the venue.
You will need to apply for our Disability Access Scheme. If your application is successful you will be entitled to one FREE ticket for the primary carer only, these are limited to one per order/show.
Blue light discount of 10% is available on selected shows. You will be requested to provide proof of entitlement with card number and expiry date. We will also need to keep a digital copy for our reference on file.
PRICE AND PAYMENT
The price of the ticket will be the price set at the time of purchase. All prices set are inclusive of any applicable taxes but exclusive of any booking fees and collection or delivery fee.
Orders will not be accepted until we have received full payment.
Ticket prices are subject to change and the venue reserves the right to change the prices of tickets and/or introduce discounts/special offers, which cannot be retrospectively applied to tickets already purchased.
The number and type of tickets available in each price bracket is limited and can vary.
Only one concession or discount can be applied per ticket purchased and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Payments can be made in cash (at the box office), by most credit and debit cards and by using our own gift vouchers. We also accept National Theatre Tokens.
If you have chosen printed tickets and paid for within 7 days of a performance will be kept at the Box Office for collection prior to the show.
Any reserved tickets must be paid for within 7 days of reserving these seats. If these are not paid for we will release these for sale without notice. We are unable to reserve tickets without payment in the seven days prior to the performance.
Our online booking fee is charged at £1.50 per ticket. For tickets purchased in person at the Box Office or telephone bookings there is a transaction charge of £2.50.
DELIVERY
We are aiming to become a ticketless venue and offer the option of e-tickets which contain a QR code which must be presented on entry. If you choose printed tickets there is an additional cost of £2.75 to cover postage – these tickets are sent via Royal Mail, please note, tickets cannot be collected from the venue.
Tickets will only be delivered to the billing address of the debit/credit card holder.
If you have chosen for your tickets to be posted and you have not received them within 3 days prior to the event, please call the Box Office on 01604 491005.
If any posted tickets are returned to us as “addressee unknown” we reserve the right to cancel your booking and make a refund of the ticket price only.
We reserve the right to make tickets available for collection at the box office. You will be notified by telephone or email with arrangements for collection (using the details provided at the time of ordering) if this becomes necessary. If there is not enough time to deliver purchased tickets, you will be notified at the point of purchase, and arrangements for collection of your tickets will be made.
CHANGES TO EVENT
The organiser of the event and/or the Venue reserves the right to make alterations to the published event programme where reasonably necessary.
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged after purchase unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled (subject to below) or where there is a material change to the programme of events.
A ‘material’ change is a change which, in our reasonable opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that purchasers of the Ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect.
The refund for tickets is equal to the face value price paid excluding any transaction & postage fees. Refunds shall only be made to the person who purchased the tickets and paid via the same method used to purchase the tickets.
LIABILITY
Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk.
We will not be held responsible for any loss, theft or damage of your personal belongings, other than caused as a result of our negligence whilst in the venue.
CANCELLED & RESCHEDULED EVENTS
It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled or re-scheduled and to check the date and time of any re-scheduled event. Where an event is cancelled or re-scheduled, we will notify you using the details provided on booking your tickets. We do not guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address you provide us with at the time of ordering.
USE OF DETAILS AND DATA PROTECTION
All tickets are sold in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998

VOID TICKETS
Any Ticket obtained in breach of these Terms and Conditions shall be void and all, rights conferred or evidenced by such Ticket shall be void. Any person seeking to use such a void Ticket in order to gain or provide entry to an event may be considered to be a trespasser and may be liable to be ejected and liable to legal action.
Void Tickets are non-refundable.
RESTRICTIONS ON THE PURCHASE OF TICKETS
We may restrict the purchase of tickets to a maximum number. Any restrictions will be clear at the time of booking. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number and without the agent’s agreement, without prior notice unless the purchase of an excess was due to our error.
CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION
The management of the Venue reserves the right to refuse ticket holders admission to the venue in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void.
The management of the Venue also reserves the right to request that ticket holders leave the Venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right.
By way of example, the Venue may remove a Ticket holder who:
1) has behaved in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of the Venue has, or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors.
2) has been abusive or using threatening or insulting words or behaviour
3) in the reasonable opinion of the Venue the ticket holder is acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or
4) fails, when required, to produce proof of identity or age.
You must comply with instructions and directions given by Venue staff and stewards.
Refunds will not be given to ticket holders who are refused entry or ejected due to their own behaviour.
Children must be supervised at all times and supervision of children shall be by no less than 1 adult per 10 children. The management reserves the right to ask parents/supervisors to remove children if, in the opinion of the management, they are causing a disturbance.
ALCOHOL
Sales of alcohol are made subject to the Licensing Act 2003 for theatres in England and Wales and any theatre specific conditions stipulated on the premises license.
RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITIONS
Recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data inside any Venue is strictly forbidden.
Unauthorised recordings, tapes, films or similar items may be confiscated and destroyed. We will not be liable for any loss, theft or damage to confiscated items.
By attending an event, ticket holders are consenting to being filmed and sound recorded as members of the audience. The promoter may use such films and recordings (including any copies) without payment.
Ticket holders are not entitled to bring into the Venue or to display or distribute (whether for free or not) at the event any sponsorship, promotional or marketing material’s.
Mobile telephones and messaging equipment must be switched off during the event.
Alcohol may only be consumed in public bars and other authorised areas. Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes/devices) is not permitted.
Ticket holders may only leave and re-enter the Venue during an event at the discretion of the management. Otherwise, there will be no re-admission or pass-outs of any kind.
The obstruction of any aisle, gangways, access-ways, exits, entrances or staircases, congregating in non-designated areas or seeking entry to stands or seats for which you do not hold a Ticket is strictly forbidden.
The following items are not permitted within the Venue
1) animals (with the exception of guide dogs); 2) laser pens; 3) your own food and drink; 4) bottles, cans or glass containers; 5) any item which may be interpreted as a potential weapon including sharp or pointed objects (e.g. knives); and 6) illegal substances.
LATECOMERS
Every effort shall be made to admit latecomers to events at a suitable break, this may be the interval, however late admission cannot be guaranteed.
BAG SIZES & PROHIBITED ITEMS
ONLY small bags are permitted to be taken into the auditorium and bars. Any bags larger than A4 will need to be placed in the cloakroom for collection on leaving the venue.
We reserves the right to conduct security searches, if any of the following items are found they will be confiscated and destroyed:
1) your own food and drink;
2) bottles, cans or glass containers;
3) any item which may be interpreted as a potential weapon including sharp or pointed objects (e.g. knives);and
4) illegal substances.
We will confiscate any item which, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the Venue, may cause danger or disruption to other members of the audience or the event or is one of the items not permitted in the Venue as listed above.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Ticket holders must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and Venue regulations whilst attending the event.
If Ticket holders have any special requirements or concerns about any special effects which may be featured at the event, prior notice should be provided when ordering your tickets. Special effects may include, without limitation, sound, audio visual, smoke, pyrotechnic effects or lighting effects.
