DISABILITY ACCESS MEMBERSHIP SCHEME

Joining The Old Savoy Theatre Disability Access Scheme is free and offers you the benefit of booking free* or discounted tickets.

The registration process allows you to tell us about any specific needs you have which may affect your visit to our theatre and to apply for free* or discounted tickets should you need any extra assistance.

* Please note: If you own a Nimbus or Access Card you do not need to complete the form, however, we will need to be sent a copy of the card along with your contact details.


WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The Disability Access Scheme is open to all our customers who may need additional assistance when visiting us. Customers who may need to bring a companion with them to the theatre for support can apply for free or
discounted tickets via the scheme*.

HOW DO I APPLY?

• Please complete the online application form and upload your passport photos (this will be required for your membership card). If you have any issues or require a printed form please call the Box Office, on 01604 491005.
• Registration is free and should only take a few minutes.
• Please ensure you read the terms & conditions.
• Attach a copy of the relevant documents if applicable (please do not send originals).

TYPES OF DISCOUNT FOR DAS MEMBERS

COMPANION TICKET APPLICATION

If you require assistance during your visit to The Old Savoy Theatre, you may be entitled to a free or discounted ticket for a carer or companion..

DISCOUNTED TICKETS

Limited Assistance Companion (Occasional additional support during your visit) Mobility Assistance Companion (Assistance to and from seat and during the interval).

FREE TICKET

Essential Companion (Essential assistance/supervision throughout the performance)

One Essential Companion ticket is provided free of charge to patrons who are in receipt of any of the disability-related state benefits listed below. Wheelchair users and those certified as blind will qualify automatically when applying for our scheme.

Please submit your documents, which should have been issued within the last 12
months and have not expired, as proof of entitlement.

Employment & Support Allowance for a period of at least twelve months Personal Independence Payment (PIP) (Higher rate payment)
Constant Attendance Allowance (with disability element only)
Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
War Disablement Pension
Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (with guaranteed Income Payment Only)
• Nimbus Card
• Certificate of Visual Impairment

This list has been compiled in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Department for Work and Pensions and may be subject to change.

We reserve the right to refuse free essential companion tickets as necessary.

Limited Assistance and Mobility Assistance companion tickets will be charged at the discounted rate of £5 off per ticket but may vary between performances.

The above entitlements are subject to change in accordance with The Old Savoy – Home of The Deco Theatre disability policy.

Membership will be reviewed every three years. If your circumstances change and you become in need of an Essential Companion, please supply us with the appropriate documents and we will amend your membership.
