The pageant is highly competitive and seeks to bring out those leadership qualities in women. The winner become a goodwill ambassador for Miss Malawi, charged with designing and implementing a charities program mainly focus on assisting charities based in Malawi that deal with HIV/AIDS orphans and women headed households that have been affected by breast cancer based on their Pageant Platform.

Malawian Queen UK was formed with the sole purpose of empowering young women with Malawian heritage based in the UK with effective leadership skills to enable them to make positive changes in their lives and the communities they live in.

The Malawian Queen UK uses beauty to promote and retain Malawian Culture amongst the Malawian community in the diaspora and also to boost tourism in Malawi
