THE GLENN MILLER STORY

The 18 piece Astor Big Band and Singers plus the Casino Dancers present the story of Alton G Miller from the formation of his first band in 1936 through to his tragic death , on a flight from Bedford to Paris on Dec 14th  1944

We use the format of his “Chesterfied” sponsored broadcasts with the Andrews Sisters – Something Old. Something New , Something Borrowed and Something Blue to bring you a host of Miller classics and a selection of more modern compositions from shows such as  Les Misérables, West Side Story and Chess as he would have played them. All set in The Glenn Island casino with its troup of showgirls  A Concert to appeal to all fans of Big Bands and Modern Musicals.

The concert will be attended by WW2 veterans :-

Mr Dennis Wells (94 years) – WW2 Veteran Burma Star

Mr Eddy Habberley (96 years) – WW2 Veteran RAF pilot

Mr Maurice Marriott (95 years) – WW2 Veteran RAF pilot/Navigator

Mr Norman Rhodes (94 years) – WW2 Royal Corps of Signals – Special communication Unit

There will be an opportunity to meet and greet after the concert – please select VIP Package if you would like to participate.
