Lydia’s Bright news for Deco Panto, as stars commit to ‘Cinderella’ this Christmas!

Singing star Lydia Lucy and West End performer Lee Bright are the latest big names to sign up for The Deco Theatre’s 2018 Christmas Panto, ‘Cinderella’.

Lydia, a finalist on The Voice two years ago, and who recently released her first solo single ‘Tempted’, is returning to The Deco by very popular demand after her awesome performances in Peter Pan last year, and in Beauty and the Beast in 2015.

“I love The Deco, and all the people associated with it, be it the fellow performers, the wonderful team behind the scenes, or the audiences, they all make me so welcome and are a pleasure to work with,” said Lydia. “I had no hesitation in accepting the invitation to return this year, and I’m already looking forward to it.”

Lee will be returning to The Deco six years after making a big impression when he appeared in ‘Wizard of Oz’.

A popular, busy and experienced performer, Lee has enormous Panto experience. He has also performed in London’s West End, all around the UK, and around the world too.

“I’m delighted to be coming back to The Deco in Northampton,” he told us. “I had a great time there in Wizard of Oz, they consistently put on fantastic Pantos year after year, and I can’t wait to be involved in this year’s production, we’re going to have a great time throughout December.”

Colin Ridgewell and Chris Wills, two other Deco Panto favourites, are also coming back this year, along with Fern Louise, who made her Panto debut as the Mermaid last year, and the ever-popular local performer and Deco legend, Clive Fletcher.

“We’re absolutely delighted that Lydia is back, she’s an absolute joy to have on board, and the audiences all adore her,” said Deco Theatre Front of House manager Jill Roach.

“We’re also thrilled that Lee has chosen to return to The Deco and be a part of our Christmas Panto again,” she said. “He was a pleasure to work with back in 2012, and he always knew there’d be a warm welcome if he chose to return, and we’re delighted he’s doing so for ‘Cinderella’ this year.

“With Colin and Chris both confirmed, we’ve already got a really strong cast, which is fantastic, and we’re really looking forward to putting on another wonderful Panto for our fantastic audiences.”
