Nick Cochrane and Kim Taylforth returning, Panto regulars David McClelland and Colin Ridgewell appearing in their first Deco Christmas Panto, local favourite Clive Fletcher, and Georgia Rix – they make up the cast for The Deco Theatre’s Christmas Panto Snow White, which runs from December 9 to 29. And all promise a fun-filled show for all ages.
Said Nick:
I had a brilliant time at the Deco last year, and was thrilled to be invited back. Once again, we’ve a great group of performers, and we’re going to make coming to our Panto a special experience.
Kim, who is currently on tour with the play ‘Jeckyl and Hyde’, which is on in Corby from September 15 to 17, is doing Panto for the third time at the Deco. She said:
This is a lovely, warm, homely theatre and I always love performing at the Deco. I can’t wait for this year’s Panto, we’re going to have lots of fun.
Colin was a big hit with audiences when he was an Ugly Sister in ‘Cinderella’, The Deco’s May Bank Holiday Panto.
I’m delighted to be back in Northampton, and yes, I loved it at the Deco – as Kim said, it’s a lovely ‘feel good’ theatre.
David, famous as presenter of The Gadget Show, is doing Panto for the 18th year running, but is in Northampton for the first time.
I love Panto, and performing in them is a pleasure. I love the banter with the audience, and there’ll be lots of that in our show at the Deco.
Georgia is still embracing the reality of coming through a rigorous audition yesterday. She said:
I’m thrilled to be chosen to play Snow White, the competition was awesome, and I’m so excited. I’ve been to the Deco to watch Panto, and now to be in it is fantastic.
And Clive has become a Deco legend, greeting arriving visitors ahead of Panto performances since 2009, before running back stage at ‘curtain up’ and being a cast member.
I wouldn’t be anywhere else in December than at the Deco for the Panto season,” he said. “Our audiences are always great fun to chat to before the show, and awesome during it.
